In St. Petersburg, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across Florida, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Usually OK, can’t complain usually. Was rushing to class, placed a pick up order. Matcha with light ice, they charged me for the extra matcha, 8+ dollars for a latte. I go to pick it up, the cup is half full. I ask politely if she can top off the cup, as she charged me significantly for a couple extra scoops of matcha, and usually they just top off the cup because they’re literally charging extra. She says β€œwell you said light ice” and I said I paid for extra product, she starts condescendingly explaining how ice displacement works (I managed a coffee shop before, don’t need the demo) and that β€œI didn’t pay for an extra splash of milk”, looking at me like a deer in the headlights like she can’t understand anything at all just in general. Like nothing behind the eyes. Stuck with the strongest half full cup of latte I’ve ever had (like literally 4 inches from the lid, still with a decent amount of ice) just like sickeningly sweet + strong because - unlike every other time I’ve gotten a light ice beverage - they gave me a half full drink and argued about it. just had to walk off because I was late and it wasn’t even done even though I called ahead 10 minutes prior, but yeah used to go

Pleasant coffee/breakfast/lunch spot on the USF campus. I live nearby, but only visit occasionally since I'm usually headed downtown. If you're looking for a quiet spot to have coffee outside or inside, this is one of the best places south of downtown near the water. The atmosphere is less institutional than Kahwa in the student center, and less corporate than Starbucks in the Hilton. The outside seating is relaxing, unlike the coffee shop at the USF bookstore, which has only a few uncomfortable metal tables with attached chairs along busy 5th Ave S. How is the coffee? I can only comment on the regular latte, which is very good. They also offer the obligatory sugary drinks masquerading as coffee that many Americans prefer. Speaking of sugar, one quibble: The multigrain bread is sweet (as is often the case). I'd recommend choosing something else if you enjoy a savory sandwich such as the bacon, egg, spinach and tomato (BEST). Occasionally there can be issues with smoke outside. For dinner check out The Tavern next door. It has live music, and the grouper is great.

Great coffee and food for the price! Super convenient and local. Really good espresso and lots of solid pastry options.
